첫 설정이 흥미로워서 읽은 책이다. 주인공이 삶에 비관하여 자살을 했는데, 정신을 차려 보니 어렸을 적 자주 갔던 도서관이라는 설정으로 이야기가 시작한다. 삶과 죽음 사이에 도서관이 있는데 그곳에서 어떤 일들이 벌어질는지 궁금했다.

그렇다. 조금만 찾아도 작은 성공들을 쉽게 찾을 수 있음에도, 우리는 종종 커다란 실패에만 초점을 둔다.

재미있는 생각이라 생각했다. 사람과 굴, 굴과 사람. 하긴 우주 입장에서 보면 티끌 같은 같은 지구에 더 티끌 같은 사람이나, 더 티끌 같은 굴이나 그게 그거일지도.

삶이 엉망진창이라 느껴진대도 이것이 나의 소중한 엉망진창이다.
